ROUGH DREAMS FASHION MONTH EDIT

Hey guys, Since it's the winter season- already how the heck did that happen?!- and the chill is taking hold, it's time to start thinking about wrapping up and although here in Ireland that's a recurring thought all year round, fashion week believes in seasons.

Sifting through sites such as Vogue.com, Elluk.com and Style.com, I've chosen my very favorites in everything from beauty, street-style and of course the decadent shows taking place in all the fashion capitals.

I hope you enjoy my take on the best in the Industry and get a little inspired in the process.

TOP VENUES

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
New York was super sleek, cool and very practical. I especially loved the use of old school tailoring with the modern metallic elements, such a clever combination that I'll definitely be giving a try.

JENNI KAYNE
ALEXANDER WANG
MILLY
RACHEL ROY

NEW YORK STREET CHIC
101 ways to style your outerwear seemed to be the direction of NYFW goers. The guests were all wrapped  up in all manor of cosy creation, showing off great ideas on how to make the most of our winter wardrobes.

LONDON FASHION WEEK
LFW was rocking two of my favorite trends this season- PVC and 'The Modern plaid', which is just an update on plaid, whether it's in muted tones or blown up and over-sized. It felt like London had grown up over night and applied all of it's bravery and charm to a new idea for the 'modern woman'.

ROKSANDA ILINIC
BURBERRY PROSUM
TOPSHOP UNIQUE
EMELIA WICKSTEAD

LONDON STREET CHIC
London has something in the air, by which I mean every time a fashion lover sets foot in the city, a 'cool' storm attacks them and spits them out the other side all funky and nonchalant. The city simply inspires style and creativity and this years show-goers definitely didn't disappoint my favorite fashion capital.

MILAN FASHION WEEK
Bold, opulent and full of texture, this was Milan in a nutshell. Velvets, jewels and metallics were splashed all over the runways  a beautiful display of craftsmanship.

JUST CAVALLI
DOLCE AND GABBANA
ROBERTO CAVALLI
BLUMARINE

MILAN STREET CHIC
'Sweet Chic' that was my first thoughts when I glimpsed the the fash-pack in MFW mode. There was the sassy side (of course- it's milan) but there was also an innocence featured with a polka dot hear a mary jane there, it was all in the detail.

PARIS FASHION WEEK
Rock, Punk, Boho, Oriental, Preppy.
Paris tackled all of the favorites in a beautiful french style that will make you fall in love with them all over again and dare I say it, I think they may have out-cooled LWF. Point being Paris was very chic and effortless this year but still exciting and that's a very good combination.

VALENTINO
SAINT LAURENT
ISABEL MARRANT
KENZO
CHANEL

PARIS STREET CHIC
The Parisian trend on the street was chic, with no added fluff and fussiness, just style in its purest form. Of course the fashion capital is famous for its fashion credentials and these guys rose to the challenge with the wise choice of looking in the mirror and taking at least one piece off- The secret to PFW.
AW 2013 BEAUTY
I thought I'd share some of my favorite beauty techniques I'm going to try out this A/W. It's a great resource to be able to gets tips from the best and I for one love utilizing this opportunity.

SMUDGE LIPS
Such a great way to update your look with little effort or purchasing involved, I especially love when this effect is used with a plum shade with and a matte texture is key. x

NAILS
THE TEXTURE
Matte

THE TECHNIQUE
Crosshatching and newspaper print. Both have tutorials if you care to Google them.

THE TONE
'The Tipex manicure' nope not actual Tipex, but a great shade that will complement almost every outfit.

HAIR
THE NEW BRAID
Think soft and full of character.

UNDONE WAVES
Try curling your hair and then brushing through it with a small amount of hair oil. Hey presto laid back chic.

IT'S IN THE DETAIL
