This here is just a yummy entree to tomorrows exciting post!

Tonight I thought I'd share some pieces from the extraordinary artist Stephen Gammell.

American born Gammell is a children's book illustrator with a genius imagination (and over 50 titles under his belt!)- using predominantly water colours and pencils to create stunning skyscapes and mysterious figures often resembling ink stains or smoke or in my opinion Rough-Dreams perfection!

I have found that i really resonate with Gammells pieces and feel the message of them beautifully represents the aesthetic of what rough dreams and ice creams is all about-
Finding beauty in obscurity

Most well known for his illustrations for Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
these are the images i have shared with you this evening.
Enjoy x

Loving our little friend on the right!

I hope you enjoyed them- isn't he amazing?

Peace out,
